Today is my 20 + birthday. When the soviet union was fighting its last wars in Afghanistan, some ambitious men were planning to rule Kenya forcefully. I tiny village in the northern part of Kenya was oblivious of what was going on. Life was simple and meaningful. A woman by the name Regina Mpiyanoi Lechipan was expecting a child.
The night was so longed for, after a hard wenesday afternoon. She went to bed knowing certain of one thing; that a child was on the way coming. She did not know it was a baby boy. The wee hours had passed and the night was about to usher this blessed morning. This was the hour...some one knew...it was coming..sshh...silence...she was walked some few yards to the hospital ward...and Alas! a baby boy was born. His name was Robert Lmeidimi Lechipan!
